I am promoting an English school I used to teach at here, deep in the heart of the Amazon Jungle in a city called Manaus.
Since I moved to Manaus, nearly six years ago, I not only fell in love with my beautiful Brazilian wife – Marilena, but I also fell in love with the weather. Particularly the tropical, jungle storms that we have here nearly every day.
So any excuse to get wet is welcomed.
The other amazing thing, deep in the jungles of the Amazon is the utterly unique, exotic fruits we find here. Actually fruits that cannot even be found anywhere else in Brazil – let alone anywhere else in the world.
So here I am cutting down the Garapa cane on our cousin’s Edicarlos and Janete’s farm.
And below picking cashews in our garden.
And you thought a cashew was just a nut! It is actually the bit at the end of the cashew flower.
